Nice to meet you

Hi, I'm Marcos Lee — the guide behind MYK

Before starting MYK, I spent more than 20 years in international business, working with global brands like GE, Electrolux, Nestlé and De'Longhi. It's a career built on working with people from all over the world — in English, every day.

In 2024 I turned my lifelong love of Korea into a full-time calling as a licensed guide. That's the idea behind the name: MYK is "Marcos & You, Korea" — every trip is a day the two of us spend exploring the country together. Whether you're here for the food, the mountains, the palaces, or just to wander, MYK builds each day around what you want to see — at your pace, with plenty of time to actually enjoy it.

Planning a trip to Korea? FAQ

Quick answers to the questions travelers most often ask before booking a guide.

Do I need a private tour guide to visit Korea?
You don't strictly need one, but a private guide makes a short trip go much further. Korea is easy to travel independently, yet a licensed local guide like Marcos Lee helps you skip the language barrier, reach places that are hard to get to by public transport, and fit far more into each day. MYK specializes in private, English-language tours for first-time and returning visitors.
Are English-speaking tour guides available in Seoul?
Yes. MYK is run by Marcos Lee, a government-licensed, fluent-English local guide based in Seoul. Every tour is conducted in English, so you can ask questions, order food, and understand the history and culture with no language barrier.
What can I do during a layover at Incheon Airport?
With roughly 6 or more hours between flights you can see a lot. MYK runs private Incheon airport layover tours with pickup and drop-off at the airport. Options include Seoul's palaces and hanok villages, traditional markets, Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, Ganghwa Island, or Hwadam Forest. Your guide watches the clock so you're always back in time for your connecting flight.
What are the best day trips from Seoul?
Popular MYK day trips from Seoul include Seoraksan National Park and Sokcho on the east coast, Alpaca World and Sogeumsan Grand Valley, the Daegwallyeong sheep ranch with the famous BTS bus stop, Hwadam Forest with the Korean Folk Village, and Ganghwa Island. Most run about 10–12 hours with hotel or city pickup.
Can I go from Seoul to Sokcho or Seoraksan in one day?
Yes. MYK offers full-day Sokcho & Seoraksan tours from Seoul (about 10–12 hours) with round-trip transport. You can hike to Biryong Falls or ride the cable car to Gwongeumseong Fortress, then relax on the East Sea coast — all without an overnight stay.
Can I customize a tour or request a private trip?
Absolutely. Beyond the listed tours, MYK builds fully custom private itineraries — café-hopping, shopping, golf, medical and skincare trips, and multi-day plans. Send your dates and interests through the booking form and you'll get a tailored plan and quote within 24 hours.
How much does a private tour guide in Korea cost, and how do I book?
Prices depend on the tour, group size and season, and most MYK tours are priced per private group rather than per person. You can book instantly on GetYourGuide, Klook or Viator through the tour cards above, or message MYK directly for a custom quote.
